An income-tax investigation in Badshapur tehsil has exposed major fraudulent activity involving a sham PAN used for property registrations. In just two years, approximately 25,000 properties have been connected to this bogus PAN, leading to the discovery of over 35,000 transactions that were misreported or not reported at all, totaling an estimated Rs 55,000 crore in value.
